Social Programme

The organizers of the 31st International Laser Radar Conference (ILRC) and the 22nd Coherent Laser Radar Conference (CLRC) look very much forward to the scientific programme of both conferences. However, there is another aspect that truly sets the ILRC 2024 & CLRC 2024 apart and this is our social program. This will be an excellent opportunity to network in an informal setting.

The social programme of the 22nd Coherent Laser Radar Conference (CLRC) and 31st International Laser Radar Conference (ILRC) will include:

  • Participation in the welcome reception with food & beverages on 23 June 2024 at the conference venue
  • Excursion to the city of Regensburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the afternoon/evening of Wednesday, 26 June 2024
    This tour includes:
    • Bus transfer Landshut to Regensburg & return
    • Guided culinary city tour in Regensburg
    • An evening boat trip on the Danube river with conference dinner

All participants who want to attend the social programme are requested to make their registration during the registration process.

Regensburg, a Bavarian city on the Danube River in the southeast of Germany, is known for its well-preserved medieval core.

The Old Town of Regensburg with Stadtamhof is an outstanding example of a central-European medieval trading town, which has well preserved its historical stages of development, and which is an exceptional illustration to the development of commerce particularly from the 11th to 14th centuries.

Because of the city´s unique status as "the only authentically preserved large medieval city in Germany" the Old Town Regensburg with Stadtamhof" was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on July 13th, 2006.
